Jeonghan is a spy and ends up marrying Seokmin without revealing the real reason his business trips happen so erratically and like, where all those weird bruises come from.

Naturally, Seokmin finds out eventually.

This was written for ao3 user lithomancy as her birthday fic, and I re-wrote it so many times. This was the most happy and light hearted version of them all, but I just couldn't seem to get the tone and narrative where I wanted it. But I like this, even if it's not what I needed it to be.

The truth was, Soonyoung hated feeling like a weight around Wonwoo’s ankle, but he hated it less than the idea of having to define himself without his magic. Despite the impossibility of choosing a parabatai before you’ve even trained together, Mingyu’s parents expect nothing but a perfect outcome. As always.

They don’t care about the disowned shadowhunter Minghao lives with. The man who treats downworlders like equals. The man who asked for Xu Minghao’s hand in marriage and was turned down by the Clave for his shameful exit from their ranks.

Mingyu doesn’t know what he’s going to find in their small house in the country; where he will fit within a relationship he has no right to intrude upon.
